ISRS Asian Geospatial Award

Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS) is the official technical meeting and annual gathering of the Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS), which is open to any country and region across the globe. Since its inception in 1980, ACRS has become one of the most prominent conferences in the field of photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. Indian Society of Remote Sensing has a status of an ordinary membership of the Asian Conference of Remote Sensing (ACRS).

Indian Society of Remote Sensing has constituted an award to be presented at the ACRS each year, namely the “ISRS Asian Geospatial Award”. This award is given to recognize the outstanding contribution in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS Technology.

 

Eligibility Criteria to Apply:

1. The Author should be from the AARS Ordinary Member Countries/regions.

2. The paper submitted by the author must have used applications related to the Asian

Continent.

3. The use of the Indian Remote Sensing Satellite in the research work is necessary.

4. The Applicant will present the paper in the ACRS.

5. No age limit for applicants.

6. The applicants can visit the official website of AARS for application and submission of the abstracts.

 

Evaluation and Selection:

  1. The evaluation committee/board for the selection of Papers will consist of:

 

  1. President, ISRS, (Chairman)
  2. General Secretary, AARS (Member)
  3. Deputy General Secretary, AARS India (Member, Secretary)

 

  1. The winner will be notified via email and will be announced at the closing ceremony of ACRS-2023 and presented during the National Symposium and Annual Convention of the ISRS during that year.

 

  1. A certificate from ISRS and a prize money of INR 25,000

 

  1. Travel support of USD 1000 to attend ACRS.
